Welcome to the Malcolm Jones homepage!
Malcolm left Birmingham Libraries in 1995 after 25 years
as Head of Music Services and is now an IT consultant,
specialising in bibliographic work, particularly in music.

Active in IAML(UK & Irl), the International Association of
Music Libraries (UK & Ireland Branch) all his working life,
he is a Past President and an Honorary Member;

In 2002 he was given the Tony Kent Strix Award of the
Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals
"in recognition of his contribution to the advancement of
information science through his work on the bibliographic
control of music materials."

Malcolm and Frances

Malcolm is married to Frances; they have two daughters,
a grand-daughter and a grandson. After living most of
his life in Birmingham he is parish priest of St. Richard of
Chichester, Heathfield, East Sussex, while continuing his bibliographic work.

To relax, they cruise the waterways in Frances Anne,
which has replaced their first narrowboat Encore!
